Dr. Pablo Oliva completed his Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, later obtaining his Master's degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Epidemiology from the National Institute of Public Health and his PhD in Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

He is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in the Xochimilco Campus and is a Researcher in Medical Sciences, attached to the Scientific Liaison Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, U.N.A.M at INMEGEN. He teaches subjects such as Public Health, Genomics, Epidemiology and Research Methods. He is a candidate for National Researcher by the National System of Researchers of the National Council of Science and Technology.

He has been Deputy Director of Prioritization of Health Services in the Ministry of Health and Head of the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance in the General Directorate of Epidemiology. He has published original scientific articles and book chapters. He has collaborated on projects focused on health determinants regarding the epidemiological behavior of COVID-19, HIV/AIDS in cardiovascular risk, the UAM Physical Health, Mental Health and Seroepidemiology Survey.
